Ultraviolet (UV) light is highly effective in reducing pathogen, businesses have long used germicidal UV-C light to disinfect spaces. UV-C light is a type of UV light that inactivates airborne and surface pathogens like viruses and bacteria by damaging their RNA and DNA. Conventional germicidal lamps that emit UV-C light with longer wavelengths (>230nm) effectively reduce pathogens but present a human health hazardto unprotected eyes and skin.

For effective, continual pathogen reduction around people our product offering contain patented Care222 lamps that emit filtered far-UV-C 222nm light, designed to continually and effectively inactivate pathogens with people present.

A sweet spot on the spectrum

What’s new is the discovery and application of far-UV-C 222nm light, a sweet spot on the UV spectrum that’s safer for humans because its limited range of penetration means it can’t penetrate past the protective outer layers of our skin and eyes.

Fixtures are available in black and white to fit existing color schemes

Installation Height 3 or 4 metres

For lower ceiling heights My Lumins range of lights can be installed at heights of 3 or 4 metres. Available in Luminair, downlight, pendant and surface mount options.

The lights include integrated safety features: Motion (PIR) sensor which allows it to change between occupied and unoccupied modes, as well as a proximity (TOF) sensor which turn the UV-C module off if it detects presence within 1 metre. The lights also feature an integrated LED.
